Data handled by the application

Wouldbe GPS Camera can process photographs, capture timestamps, camera direction, geographic coordinates, accuracy, altitude, speed, heading, a human-readable address when the operating system provides one, and descriptive information entered by the user such as project, note, and operator name.

Purpose

Camera access is used to take photographs. Location is used to label photographs. Selected information is rendered permanently into saved images and stored as local metadata so the user can search and review it.

Storage and transmission

Photos, thumbnails, settings, and metadata are stored locally in application-managed storage. No account is required. The application has no cloud backend, remote database, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK and does not upload this data.

Reverse-geocoded addresses are requested from services supplied by the device operating system. Their availability and processing are governed by the operating-system provider and device configuration.

Sharing and export

The user can explicitly share a photograph through the operating system or save an additional copy to the device photo gallery. Once shared or exported, the destination application, service, gallery, backup configuration, or recipient controls that copy.

Permissions

• Camera: required to capture photographs.
• Location while in use: used to label photographs; capture without a usable fix can be enabled.
• Photo library or media add access: requested only for gallery export where the operating system requires it.
• Legacy storage write access: limited to older Android versions where required for gallery export.

Retention and deletion

Private records remain on the device until the user deletes individual photos, clears local data, or uninstalls the application. Uninstalling may remove application-private data. Gallery exports and shared copies are separate and may remain after private data is deleted.

Device and authorized access

The application does not claim to prevent access by the operating system, device owner, device backups, mobile-device-management software, platform services, or other authorized mechanisms.

Changes
